Britney just shared what getting the vaccine is really like
Singer Britney Spears has posted a candid video detailing her experience of being vaccinated against COVID-19. In the clip, filmed by her long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari, Britney explains that she initially feared getting the shot might be painful and says, "Okay, the people on the internet said it was really, really bad and it was like a bullet going through your arm."
However, she then clarified that this description was far from accurate in her case. "It was nothing, I felt nothing," Britney tells the camera. "I'm fine and I hope I continue to stay fine." Sam then turns to Britney and says "High five!" THEY ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER OMG.
But anyway, back to the matter at hand: Britney is far from the only famous face who has used their platform to encourage others to get the vaccinated, in order to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Singer Dolly Parton (who also invested into medical research surrounding the shot), Barrack Obama and the Queen and Prince Philip have all made it widely known that they've either been vaccinated, or would be happy to do so (live on TV in Obama's case).
As is to be expected whenever Britney posts something on Instagram, her 29 million fans were quick to comment on the video clip (captioned "Got the COVID vaccine 😳💉 …. Great success 😂 …. High-five 🖐🏻 !!!!!!"), with many remarking how happy she looks around Sam. Others said that they felt more reassured about having the vaccine themselves after hearing Britney's story, which is great news.
One was also curious as to which formula of the vaccine the singer received, asking "Is Britney a Moderna girl, Pfizey baddie, or Johnson & Johnson cutie?" Another wrote, "Lol see I wasn’t gonna get it but now since u did Britney here I go 😂 "
Currently those under the age of 30 who are down to receive the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine in the UK are being offered an alternative formula (should one be available in their local area), while research is ongoing into whether or not the shot can cause rare blood clots in a small number of cases.
