Britney Spears is headed back to court, but this time it's not for her conservatorship, it's for being caught speeding on a California freeway.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the 'Toxic' singer was busted by the California Highway Patrol for driving at an "unsafe speed for prevailing conditions." The ticket was issued on March 10, 2022, and Britney is due in a Los Angeles Courtroom on May 3. The document isn't specific on how fast she was going, or where exactly she was pulled over.

Turns out, this isn't the first time Britney has been ticketed by law enforcement for speeding in the past few years. In June of 2019, Britney was busted by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department for the same issue, "unsafe speed."

Can you imagine running into the queen of pop while attending traffic school?!

It should be noted, that Britney mentioned her driving privileges during her attempt to get the conservatorship overturned, and remove her father from controlling her day-to-day life. At the time, Britney claimed she was unable to drive freely from her home, in many cases, having to be driven to places by a security guard.

In a recent conservatorship document, information was revealed surrounding another incident in 2021, where Britney was pulled over for speeding. At the time, she was pulled over by CHP for going 62 MPH in a 40MPH zone. The officer let her off with a verbal warning, but she wasn't so lucky last month.

In a recent Instagram post, Britney highlighted the joy of being able to drive on her own again. "In a world where it’s acceptable to make a strong woman feel like a hopeless old woman, letting her drive alone for the first time in 13 years... I gotta say, y’all, I’m forever grateful," she wrote. During the ongoing conservatorship hearings, a source close to the pop star added, "Britney is very happy the conservatorship is now allowing her to drive. She is ecstatic and beyond grateful for all the help she is receiving right now."

Unfortunately, Britney has had other problems behind the wheel including a 2006 incident where she was photographed driving with her four-month-old son on her lap. Obviously, that is a big no-no!

At the time, she issued a statement blaming the photographer following her, saying, "I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm’s way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us. I love my child and would do anything to protect him."

As we reported, Britney recently revealed she is pregnant with her third child with fiance Sam Asghari. Although the happy couple hasn't revealed the due date or gender of the new baby, Sam opened up about the big news, saying, "Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take it lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do."

Britney is due back in court on May 3, to answer for the speeding ticket.
