HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Broad Street Market brick building was destroyed by fire last summer and the temporary tent for those vendors is still not operating.
The city did meet with a plumbing company on Wednesday and said they expect to receive at least one bid for that work by the January 25 deadline. The city is working to finalize a contract with an electric company.

Once contractors are hired there should be a clearer timeline on when the tent will be ready.
abc27 reported to you previously that the Broad Street Market is seriously struggling financially and that there’s just enough money left for one more month.
The market is holding a fundraiser this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the stone building which is operating.
It’s the great Broad Street bake-off. Three vendors will compete and the market hopes to raise $5,000
