Precautionary boil water notice rescinded for homes south of Bayou Texar

The Emerald Coast Utility Authority has rescinded a precautionary boil water notice for customers living along Endor Road, Fleance Drive, Banquis Court, Banquis Trail, Giamis Road, Dunsinane Drive and Cawdor Court.

The notice was issued shortly before 5 p.m., Tuesday after repairs were made to a broken six-inch water main damaged by a contractor working in the area.

The 48-hour PBWN was lifted shortly before 11 a.m. Thursdayafter independent bacteriological samples returned as clear.

Precautionary Boil Water Notices are issued as a part of the standard protocol following any loss of water pressure, whether as a result of planned maintenance activities or unscheduled repairs.
