Broncos announce 10-year agreement with Centura Health that includes naming rights for training facility

May 15—On Monday morning, there was a new name on the Broncos' training facility in Dove Valley.

The Broncos announced that they have partnered with Centura Health on a 10-year agreement as their official health partner and naming rights holder for the facility. The previous naming rights holder was UCHealth until that deal expired last month.

"The Denver Broncos are proud to announce Centura Health as our new 10-year and most significant partnership in the history of the Denver Broncos," Damani Leech said at a press conference at the now-named Centura Health Training Center. "And partner as the title holder of our training facility. ... Centura is a hometown team. (They are) headquartered not too far from our practice (facility) and they have a lot in common with the Broncos. They are a rapidly growing organization with deep rooms in our community."

Centura Health is headquartered in Centennial. The health system has been operating for 148 years in Colorado, western Kansas and northern Utah.

Centura Health made a $100,000 donation to the Denver Broncos Foundation in addition to its agreement with the team, and it will continue to support the nonprofit arm of the team.

The partnership between the Broncos and Centura will include there being prominent signage at the training facility and brand recognition as the official sponsor of the team's injury report. The Centura logo will appear on the Broncos' media backdrop for non-gameday press conferences and also be visible at various locations at Empower Field at Mile High.

"From Day 1 of our initial discussions, to developing a shared vision of a partnership, to the launch today, I would call us kindred spirits," said Centura Health president and CEO Peter D. Banko. "I felt like I've known the Broncos team forever. There was a feeling of peace in this relationship."

Leech said talks began to get Centura on board began when he and Banko "met over lunch a few months ago." He said during the process it was "less about speed and more about finding the right partner and feeling comfortable."

Leech said Centura Health would maintain naming rights throughout the length of the deal even if there are changes made with the team's training facility.

"Regardless of what happens with this facility, renovations, new build, etc., it's going to be the Centura Health Training Center," he said.

Leech said the Broncos as an organization have made tremendous strides since the Walton-Penner ownership group took over last August.

"They've definitely inspired us to think bigger, understand what great really is, define what great is and go out and go for it," Leech said. "You're seeing that with a $100 million commitment to the stadium. On the field, (we've) brought in (head coach) Sean Payton, one of the greatest coaches in the history of the game. ... We had over 98 percent renewal for our season tickets this year."
