Denver Broncos inside linebacker Alexander Johnson suffered a chest injury against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday and was ruled out in the third quarter.

The Broncos were already thin at linebacker with Josey Jewell on injured reserve and Baron Browning suffering a concussion in Week 6. Browning has also been ruled out, leaving Justin Strnad and Micah Kiser as the only healthy inside linebackers still available against Las Vegas.

Johnson totaled four tackles before leaving the game. Kiser is filling Johnson’s former spot in Denver’s base defense.

In addition to Johnson and Browning, Broncos outside linebacker Andre Mintze (hamstring) has also been ruled out of the game with an injury.

At the time of this writing in the third quarter, Denver is currently trailing the Raiders 24-7 at home.
