Cops responding to an assault in progress around 12:30 p.m. Thursday found the 21-year-old victim sprawled out on Wallace Ave. near Adee Ave. in Williamsbridge.

Witnesses told police the victim had approached the car to talk when someone inside pulled a gun, shot him, and sped off.
