Bronx man nabbed in October shooting of 40-year-old ex-convict

Police made an arrest in a fatal October shooting that left a 40-year-old ex-con dead on a Bronx street, cops said Friday.

Roshane Allen, 30, of Williamsbridge was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon, assault and menacing, cops said. He was awaiting arraignment Friday evening.

Allen was arrested Thursday night in the fatal shooting of Obdulio Martinez, who was hit twice in the chest near E. 216th St. and White Plains Road in Williamsbridge at about 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 19, cops said.

The motive for the killing remained unclear, but police were investigating if the victim’s criminal past was a factor.

Martinez and his killer lived less than a half mile apart from each other in Williamsbridge, though cops said it was unclear if they knew each other.
