A dog walker who took a swing at an Asian woman in Manhattan and called her “Coronavirus Asian” faces hate-crime charges for the racist episode, police said Thursday.

Cops arrested Daniel Negroni, charging him with aggravated harassment as a hate crime in the Tuesday afternoon incident.

The 25-year-old victim was walking along First Ave. and E. 57th St. around 1 p.m. when Negroni, 31, confronted her, cops said.

“Coronavirus Asian,” he said, according to police. “I should punch you.”

He then took a swing at her, but she dodged the blow and he walked away, cops said.

Cops released a surveillance video of the suspect Wednesday.

About 40 Asian New Yorkers have been the victim of hate crimes so far this year.
