  • Brooke Shields, 56, just posted a fire photo of herself in a one-piece bathing suit on the beach.

  • The photo was taken by Helena Christensen, a professional photographer, a fellow model, and a good friend of Brooke’s.

  • Brooke has been candid about her fitness journey after she had surgery on her knee in 2018, and when she broke her femur in February.

Given her super modeling and acting talents (and her spectacular eyebrows), it’s no surprise that Brooke Shields is having a *moment* on the ‘gram. But the 56-year-old’s most recent snap of her posing in a yellow one-piece has fans picking their jaws up off the floor.

In the photo—lensed by Helena Christensen, a professional photographer, a fellow model, and a good friend of Brooke’s—the actress leans against a wall on a beach. Her touseled waves and, of course, eyebrows are on point as she smolders for the camera. She is wearing a yellow bathing suit with white lettering on the front.

She captioned the Instagram simply: "Sunday 🌞."

Brooke’s famous friends and followers were quick to point out the photo’s fiery quality.

“Absolutely gorgeous. Where are you?,” wrote Candace Bushnell, the Sex and the City author. Even One Tree Hill sensation Sophia Bush hopped in the comments with a, “Oh HI 🔥.”

Brooke has been candid about her fitness journey after she had surgery on her knee in 2018.

This past February, she broke her femur. Brooke was standing on a balance board, when she fell and broke the thighbone, which is the longest bone in the human body, according to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

“I flew up in the air with such force, and I landed so heavy and so hard and with such musculature and such velocity and such height,” Brooke said in an interview with Today with Hoda & Jenna. “The only thing I could keep saying was that I could feel my toes because I just knew that I couldn’t move, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t paralyzed.”

The mother of two added, “I’ve never screamed like that,” she recalled. “I mean, not even in childbirth,” according to Prevention Magazine.

Brooke relied on physical therapy to get her through the injury, “I think it's almost been the biggest blessing to date because I realized what a fighter I am," she told Deborah Roberts on Good Morning America.

While initially, she shared on IG that she was only able to put 20 percent weight on the leg, she has considerably worked up her strength since then through SoulCycle workouts and using resistance bands, she told Women’s Health.

“You don't have to deadlift 100 pounds. You can do small, teeny movements to activate these little muscles that actually wrap around other bigger muscles, and they tighten them all in," Brooke told Today. "It was a revelation to work with a personal trainer and it not be a crazy painful thing."

Brooke is up to all sorts of fitness and health activities. On Thanksgiving, she posted an Instagram video of her doing a cold plunge in a tropical oasis that I would love to be invited to for her next holiday.
