After years on and off the rental market, Brooke Shields is officially saying goodbye to her L.A. home, Dirt reports. Known for her work in The Blue Lagoon, Pretty Baby, and more recently Jane The Virgin, the actor and model is ready to exclusively reside on the East Coast after over two decades of owning the Pacific Palisades property.

Nestled in a secluded canyon behind a gated motor court, the five bedroom, five and a half bathroom property offers a high degree of privacy to its occupants. Its exposed rafters, simple white wall paneling, and ample built-in cabinetry give the space an effortlessly unique feeling. The primary bedroom—which includes a massive walk-in closet, seating area, fire place, and sauna—is the property’s crown jewel. The chalet style house is listed for $8.195 million, a sizable bump from the $3.3 million Shields paid many years ago.

Plenty of shade is provided for the balcony by the overhanging eaves, creating the perfect space to take in the beautiful view. Though there’s no yard, there’s plenty of outdoor space including a pathway to an even more private pool, spa, and sunny lounge area.

Home is extremely important to Shields, as is decorating it, and you can tell by her attention to detail. AD featured her Greenwich Village townhouse on its cover in 2012, an experience she described as nerve wracking. “It was probably the most nervous I've ever been in my life for a cover, just because it was completely my aesthetic that had been cultivated over years, decades, and it was the first time that had ever really come to fruition without it being my mother's taste… It's very vulnerable," Shields said.
