Brooke Shields sells longtime California home celebs liked to rent. See $7.4M retreat

Actress Brook Shields has sold the Pacific Palisades home she owned for 25 years for $7.4 million, according to The Agency real estate firm.

She purchased the house in 1997 for $3.24 million, according to a representative of The Agency.

Cody Garcia of The Agency represented the buyer. Jade Mills and Albert Sousa of Coldwell Banker Realty held the listing.

The 5,345-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-bathroom home — a chic rustic style retreat — was purchased by Shields the year she married tennis star Andre Agassi and was starring in the television sitcom “Suddenly Susan.”

In 2015, she started renting the pad for $30,000 per month, according to realtor.com and other media outlets, and more recently for $25,000.

Stars who have rented the home include Randy Newman, J.J. Abrams, Matt Damon and Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, according to People.

Luxury and celebrity real estate website Dirt reported that actor Sam Page was the buyer.

The property is located on a little less than a half-acre in a secluded and lush canyon in the Upper Riviera neighborhood with mountain views. The private Southern California retreat — 1710 San Remo Dive, Pacific Palisades — is reached via a gated private driveway that leads to a motor court and “charming front porch.”

“Enjoy sophisticated country living in this prime Pacific Palisades neighborhood, yet just minutes away from the bustle of the city,” according to the listing.

The home is entered through a two-story story foyer and flows into a spacious living room with a fireplace. Glass walls and doors open to the wrap-around patio on the main level.

The primary suite is upstairs with an office, sitting room, fireplace and balcony overlooking the canyon.

Four more bedrooms, a media lounge with kitchenette and laundry room are on the main level.

Outside, there is mature greenery, multiple decks and patios and a dining and grilling area, pool and spa.

The property sold quickly. It was listed in January 2022 for $7.995 million and sold a month later, on Feb. 28, 2022.

Shields was a child model and started her acting career at age 12 in Louis Malle’s film “Pretty Baby.”
