Brookhaven Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Apple

Priscila Korb

BROOKHAVEN, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions.

One of their available pets is Apple, a 3-year-old female domestic short hair.

Here's a full description of Apple from the Brookhaven Animal Shelter page:

Meet Apple! She is very sweet and affectionate. She arrived at the shelter with an injured tail, limping on her right rear leg and in need of medical care. Her tail had to be amputated but you would never know it, she is super happy. On her x-rays it appears that she has an old injury that was never treated. After some cage rest and medication she is no longer limping. However, that leg may or may not need special attention one day down the road. She is currently looking for a love connection. Apple is hoping she gets a second chance at a good life, she would love a home of her own and a window to sun herself in. She is estimated to be about 3 years young, she weighs in at almost 6.5 pounds, is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative. This girl will make your heart smile!
