Brooklyn cop-hater hurls rock into NYPD cruiser window: police

A burly man in a Nike hat chucked a rock at a parked NYPD cruiser in Brooklyn, smashing the car’s windshield, police said Saturday.

The marked patrol vehicle was sitting on Utica Ave. near Sterling Place about 4:45 p.m. Thursday when the suspect hurled the rock at it.

The rock went through the windshield, cops said.

No officers were in the car at the time and no injuries were reported.

The suspect ran off.

Detectives on Saturday released surveillance images of the suspect as they turned to the public for help in tracking the man down.

He’s described as black, about 5-foot-8 and was last seen wearing a black Nike hat, black jacket, cargo pants and red sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
