A 31-year-old ex-con stepped out into the hallway of his Brooklyn building to smoke a cigarette — and was stabbed to death by three men, police said Monday.

Jerry Chrichlow was knifed in the upper body and slashed multiple times in the fourth-floor hallway of an apartment building on Crown St. near Schenectady Ave. in Crown Heights about 10:25 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.

He crawled back to his apartment, where his mother was, as his killers got away. Medics rushed Chrichlow to Kings County Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.

The victim wasn’t robbed, and while it wasn’t clear what sparked the stabbing, cops are looking to his past for possible clues. No arrests have been made.

Chrichlow had several prior domestic assault arrests, and records show that he was paroled in June 2020 after serving about eight years in state prison for an assault conviction. While behind bars, Chrichlow was convicted of a prison contraband charge.
