Brooklyn Nets' Kyrie Irving Fined for Flipping Off Boston Celtics Fans

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving was fined $50,000 for flashing his middle fingers to Boston Celtics fans during a game at TD Garden on April 17.

This video, taken by Abhijot Gill, shows Irving standing courtside and gesturing his middle fingers towards a section of rowdy Celtics fans in the crowd.

In a statement, the NBA’s president of league operations, Byron Spruell, said Irving was fined for “making obscene gestures on the playing court and directing profane language toward the spectator stands.”
