Brother killed his 8-months pregnant sister and dumped her body, Texas cops say

A 19-year-old Texas man confessed to killing his 23-year-old sister -- who was 8 months pregnant -- saying she was an “embarrassment to their family,” according to police and KDFW-TV.

On Dec. 17, police in The Colony, a Dallas suburb, issued a missing person’s report for Viridiana Arevalo, a 23-year-old Hispanic female, Her boyfriend had reported her missing.

Eduardo Arevalo, 19, Viridiana’s brother, became a suspect after police gathered evidence from video surveillance from where her body was found.

Police said Eduardo admitted to killing his sister on Dec. 16 “in the home, then placed her body in his vehicle and transported her to an area outside of The Colony where the body would not be discovered,” the news release said.

Eduardo returned to where he originally hid her body on Sunday “and transported her back to The Colony where he dumped her body,” the release noted.

He told police he killed his sister because of a “family conflict” and had staged her disappearance as a possible suicide, leaving behind a note that he had written, KDFW reported.

Eduardo has been charged with capital murder and face additional charges as the investigation continues, police said.
