Broward Schools Employee Arrested For Making Threats To Schools

A Lauderdale Lakes Middle School front desk attendant has been arrested for making bomb threats to area schools.

- We have this news just in. A Broward County Schools employee is in jail tonight.

Patrick Jean, a front desk attendant at Lauderdale Lakes Middle School, faces bomb threat and mass shooting charges.

According to detectives, they got a tip Tuesday morning that there were bombs on the campuses of Lauderdale Lakes Middle and Boyd Anderson High School. That same afternoon, BSO got another tip that someone was going to shoot up both schools. Sweeps were conducted at both schools and both threats were determined to be unfounded

Jean was arrested yesterday. Police say he confessed and voluntarily surrendered a firearm.
