BRPD: One hurt in shooting after group attends funeral

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A shooting at 469 Elmer Avenue left one person hurt on Monday, Feb, 26.

BPRD said the shooting happened at 8 p.m. and one man was shot in the leg. He received a ride to a local hospital. There is no word on the condition of the shooting victim.   

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, a large group was at a repast and they were dispersing from the area when an unknown vehicle passed through and began shooting at the group.

The group had attended a funeral for a recent homicide victim, BRPD said.

BRPD is still searching for a suspect and motive in this case.
