Brrr! Wind chill advisory now in effect

(WJW) – This evening, skies are partly cloudy with bitter cold temperatures in the teens and single digits. It will be breezy so most of us are spending our evening with wind chills below zero. You’ll want to bundle up!

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday for Ashland, Crawford, Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Richland and Sandusky Counties.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday for Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Carroll, Coshocton, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and Wayne Counties.

A few snow showers are expected through late morning. Accumulation will 2″ at most by 10 am. Heavier east vs west.

Wind chill values will dip to -10 to -15 degrees Wednesday morning. Not as cold for the end of the week. Winds will continue to be gusty for Wednesday, albeit in the afternoon we warm to around 20 degrees so wind chills will at least be above 0, only in the single digits, however!

Next chance for snow will be Thursday AM. Could make for a slippery morning commute! We’ll pick up another few inches out of this system on Thursday.

Friday more widespread snow showers, turning Lake effect Saturday. Drier Sunday and early next week with rain showers by midweek next week.
