Sprinkles Cupcakes is celebrating Lunar New Year with a new Bruce Lee-inspired cupcake available at Sprinkles locations nationwide until Feb.11.

Lee was born in the Year of the Dragon, and his 1973 action film “Enter the Dragon” is considered to have revolutionized action movies from that era.

The Gold Dragon Bruce Lee Cupcake is a red velvet cupcake with slivered almonds atop an almond cookie base with an almond cream cheese frosting.  The new dessert was also inspired by the traditional almond cookies gifted during Lunar New Year.

The cupcake also comes with a dragon candy decoration, as 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. The color red and almonds are typically symbolic of good luck and fortune in Chinese culture, according to a news release.

The limited-edition cupcake costs $6 and came to fruition thanks to a partnership between Sprinkles Cupcakes, the Bruce Lee Foundation and the Gold House.

Consumers can also purchase an $88 cupcake bundle, which includes strawberry, dark chocolate and Gold Dragon Bruce Lee cupcakes. The assortment comes with Bruce Lee x Gold House red envelopes traditionally gifted during the holiday.

Southern California residents can purchase the cupcake or the cupcake bundle at Sprinkles Cupcake locations in Beverly Hills, Irvine, La Jolla, Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach and Westlake Village.
