Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have rocked Chris Rock's world.

The comedian, a long-time Alpine resident, was in attendance at the Sunday, May 21, concert at the Circo Massimo in Rome.

Rock posted a few snippets to his Instagram story. One was Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt mugging it up or the camera on “Glory Days.” Another was a band shot during “Dancing in the Dark.”

He met band members after the show.

“I just Met Chris Rock (heart emoji),” said Michelle Moore, member of the E Street Choir, on social media.

By the end of the set we left no one alive; except for @chrisrock,” said band saxophonist Jake Clemons, who posted a selfie with him and Rock. “This mofo don’t get knocked down by nobody!!! Someday we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny!

“What a legend. Pure class!”

Rock was slapped, but not knocked down, by Will Smith at the 2022 Academy Awards.

Rock wasn't the only celeb at the Springsteen show in Rome. Woody Harrelson, Sacha Baron Cohen, Sting, Nick Cave, and Lars Ulrich from Metallica also attended, according to social media postings.

The Rome show followed the May 18 concert in Ferrara, Italy, which was criticized for proceeding as the venue was about 30 miles from the Emilia-Romagna area in northern Italy, where rains, flooding and mudslides killed more than a dozen people.

“I do not blame Bruce for this, alone he could not do anything, he had a contract to fulfill,” said filmmaker Alberto Engeli, a native of Italy who lives in Asbury Park. “However for me it is a disgrace that the concert was held, and it was not postponed, when less than 20 miles from Ferrara people were dying.”

Up next is the May 25 and 27 at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.
