New brunch-concept restaurant moving into former Sam Snead’s in Carolina Forest

A new restaurant is moving into the former Sam Snead’s in Carolina Forest.

The building, at 1004 Glenforest Road, will be the new location for The Toasted Yolk Cafe. The cafe serves breakfast, brunch and lunch.

The Texas-based restaurant’s concept focuses on brunch, writing on its website, “The foods we love best all arrive before 3 p.m.”

Along with breakfast foods that include omelets, crepes and pancakes, and lunch fare, including sandwiches, soups and salads, the restaurant has a cocktail menu full of boozy offerings. That includes brunch cocktail favorites of bloody Marys and mimosas.

It is unclear when the restaurant will open.

A sign announcing the coming of the restaurant is outside the building, and the location is listed as “coming soon” on its website. Contractors have been working on the interior of the building.

A message left with the company Friday was not immediately returned.

It appears this will be the first location for Toasted Yolk in the Carolinas.

The building is the former home of Sam Snead’s, which closed on April 2 after 10 years in the location.
