Brunner in Norwalk Saturday

Oct. 27—NORWALK — Ohio Supreme Court Justice Jennifer Brunner will visit Norwalk at the Suhr Family Park gazebo, at 1 p.m. Saturday. Brunner is campaigning to win the office of Chief Justice of the court.

Also, the Huron County Democratic Party traveling headquarters will be setting up in Suhr Park Saturday at 11 a.m. That will be the final stop of its 2022 county-wide tour.

Brunner was awarded the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award in 2008 for her service to Ohio as Secretary of State. "As your Chief Justice I will be fiercely independent, fair and impartial, Brunner said, "I will protect the rule of law and safeguard your rights."

Brunner is currently on a campaign tour of Ohio, which will visit nearly 70 counties with multiple stops every day from now until Election Day, Nov. 8.

Also planning to visit Suhr Park that day are candidates Bryan Burgess and Teresa Fedor. Burgess is running for state representative in the 54th District, which includes Norwalk City, Norwalk Twp., Townsend Twp., Wakeman Twp. and Wakeman village. Fedor is running for state school board in the 2nd District, which includes all of Huron County.

The traveling HQ provides yard signs, election info, campaign materials and candidate visits like a traditional storefront party headquarters. Visitors can also pick up a copy of the local party's Democratic Creed, which is also posted online at hurondems.org/creed.
