Brustoski leads Cuyahoga Falls girls track at Tallmadge Invitational

Cuyahoga Falls’ Ellie Brustoski had quite a day April 29 at the Tallmadge Invitational track and field meet.

Brustoski captured the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.08 seconds. She also finished second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.28. Maia Mendez finished seventh in the 300 hurdles with a time of 53.08.

Overall, the Black Tigers finished fifth out of eight teams with 78.5 points. Tallmadge won the competition with 155 points. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary finished second with 136.5 points and Revere was third with 112 points.

Alyssa Walters finished second in the discus with a throw of 97 feet, 1.5 inches. She also placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 26-8.

Sonia Hammonds finished second in the pole vault with a vault of 8 feet.

In the long jump Natalie Ball finished fourth with a leap of 15-11. Brustoski finished eighth with a leap of 15 feet.

Brustoski, Ruby Masl, Riley Koehler and Natalie Polidoro teamed to finish second in the 800 relay with a time of 1:51.08.

The 800 sprint medley finished fourth with a clocking of 2:09.96.

Mendez, Emma Johnson, Reaghan Moore and Madison Van Curen teamed to finish fifth in the 1,600 relay with a time of 4:46.

Elsa Lowry, Kaitlyn Clark, Laila Smith and Hailey Testa joined forces to finish fifth in the 3,200 relay with a clocking of 11:26.38.

Masl, Polidoro, Grace Fratz and Riley Koehler teamed to finish sixth in the 400 relay with a time of 53.79.

Kloey Dunford finished fifth in the 3,200 with a time of 12:55. Teagan Barnett was sixth with a time of 13 minutes.

In the 1,600 Lowry finished seventh with a time of 6:19.

Testa finished seventh in the 800 with a time of 2:51.

Also placing seventh was Koehler in the 200 with a time of 28.34. Polidoro took eighth with a time of 28.76.

Johnson finished eighth in the 400 with a clocking of 1:08.59.

As for the Cuyahoga Falls boys track and field team, the Black Tigers also finished fifth out of eight teams with 89.5 points.

Tallmadge won the competition with 188 points. Copley finished second with 125 points and Revere was third with 100 points.

Koby Dunford captured the 1,600 with a time of 4:38. Andrew Wegner finished third with a time of 4:44.

Jacob Norton finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:06.1. Ian Alspaugh finished eighth with a time of 2:17.5.

Lucas Ulbricht finished fourth in the 3,200 with a time of 10:50. Ethaniel Hatfield placed fifth with a clocking of 11:09.

Alexander Moore finished third in the 100 with a time of 11.39.

In the 200 Aeron Jenkins finished fifth with a time of 23.65.

Dunford, Hatfield, Wegner and Norton teamed to capture the 3,200 relay with a time of 8:26.2.

Dunford, Wegner, Norton and Noah Boehm teamed to finish fourth in the 1,600 relay with a time of 3:48.11.

The 800 sprint medley finished fourth with a time of 1:47.08.

Jenkins, Jax Gruska, Joey Moening and Owen Wallace teamed to finish fourth in the 800 relay with a time of 1:36.49. Boehm, Daniel Masl, Zavier Lindsey-Gladney and Lahai Kanneh joined forces to place seventh with a clocking of 1:38.56.

In the 300 hurdles Corbin Luksza finished sixth with a time of 46.76. Riley Marquette finished eighth with a time of 48.61. Marquette also finished seventh in the 110 hurdles with a time of 19.07.

Masl finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 20-0.5. Jenkins finished sixth with a leap of 19-9. Masl also tied for sixth in the high jump with a leap of 5-6.

Luksza finished seventh in the pole vault with a vault of 8 feet.

Zac Dalton finished fifth in the discus with a toss of 109-1.5, and Tristan Ohler took sixth in the shot put with a throw of 40-7.
