Ohio State University’s men’s basketball team has their eyes on one of LeBron James’ sons. The second eldest of his two sons, Bryce James, attended the institution during their football game against Maryland on Saturday. Bryce enjoyed watching OSU take the win with the score 37–17 according to Sports Illustrated. After the game, the 2025 perspective player said that he received a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes’ men’s basketball program.

“Blessed to receive an offer from Ohio State #GoBuckeyes,” Bryce tweeted.

The footage posted on X (formerly Twitter) of Bryce speaking with head coach Chris Holtmann at the football game on the sidelines according to People — His mother, Savannah James was also seen.

Ohio State was also interested in his eldest brother Bronny but he instead committed to play with USC. Excited about his offer, Bryce shared the news on Instagram as well with photos featuring him wearing a red Ohio State jersey and another post featuring his mom.

“Buckeye nation⚪️🔴how we feeling?” he captioned the post.

Bryce recently transferred from Sierra Canyon High School to Notre Dame High School. Both Bryce and Bronny played as teammates at Sierra Canyon. Bryce received his first scholarship offer from Duquesne back in Aug.

With Coach Holtmann offering Bryce his second offer this early on, signals that his recruitment process is likely to start taking off as James’s junior season appraoches.
