BSO believes this man tried to kidnap a woman who was walking her dog in Deerfield Beach

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a man who they say tried to kidnap a woman in Deerfield Beach.

The incident happened Tuesday at roughly 7:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of Northeast Second Avenue, according to BSO.

Deputies say the woman was walking her dog when the man approached and attempted to abduct her. The suspect, who officials believe to be homeless, was last seen wearing black shorts and no shirt.

BSO released a sketch Friday that shows a male who they say appeared to be 40 to 50 years old, approximately 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds with gray/white hair.
