BTS's Jungkook Cut His Hair and ARMYs Are Freaking Out

The BTS boys are back home in Korea following their recent concert in Saudi Arabia, and Jungkook has decided to celebrate their return with a fresh haircut, sending ARMYs into a frenzy.

On October 13, the “Euphoria” singer posted three selfies to the band’s Twitter account showing off his new hairdo, which actually resembles the so-called “coconut” style he used to sport before he started growing it out earlier this year. JK captioned the photos with the word “커트” — the phonetization of the English word “cut” in Hangeul — alongside a slew of mysterious eyes emojis and a happy face.

What might have seemed like an innocent update to him wasn’t quite as inconsequential for ARMYs. Shortly after Jungkook posted the photos the words “HE CUT HIS HAIR” — yup, all caps because this is the JK we’re talking about — started trending on Twitter, and ARMYs knew exactly who they were referring to from the getgo.

JK’s haircut caught most ARMYs by surprise and some are seemingly sad to see his long hair gone. “The way I was going to tweet that we might get long hair Jungkook for a comeback such he hasn’t cut it yet, than 2 mins later Jungkook tweets and says that he cut his hair,” a fan wrote alongside a crying meme. “Everyone say goodbye to long hair Jungkook era he will be missed,” another one added.

Regardless of personal preference, plenty of ARMYs are smitten with JK’s fresh &aposdo, despite being a little nostalgic for that longer look. “He cut his hair but it’s cute but I also loved his long hair IM HEARTBROKEN,” an ARMY commented. “Am i being dramatic over the fact he cut his hair? yes,” another one pointed out.

And though some fans might be saddened by the haircut, others are ecstatic JK’s short hair is back. “COCONUT JUNGKOOK IS BACK AND AM SO HAPPY,” an ARMY tweeted. “I know that I’m not the only one who kinda missed Jungkook with short hair. I KNOW-,” another one added.

Ultimately, it is JK’s hair and it’s up to him to decide what to do with it. Plus, by now we’ve pretty much established he can rock any hairstyle, so really it’s really a win-win for ARMYs.
