BTS ‘Dynamite’ video sets YouTube record for most views in first 24 hours

More than 101 million people viewed the latest video from beloved K-pop band BTS upon its release, setting a YouTube record for most views within the first 24 hours of going live.

In the 24 hours after it appeared on Friday, BTS’s new single “Dynamite” had 98.3 million views, reported Variety. But on Sunday YouTube confirmed that the official count was actually 101.1 million, Variety said.

“We can confirm that BTS (1/4 ubc29 1/4 ud0c4 1/4 uc18c 1/4 ub144 1/4 ub2e8) ‘Dynamite’ Official MV set a new all-time 24hr record, surpassing 100 million views with 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours,” a YouTube spokesman told Variety.

BTS’s passionate fanbase, known as BTS Army, had been aiming for such a milestone, reported Variety.
