Social media users are applauding BTS’ Jin for inadvertently helping a fan avoid getting robbed in Brazil while serving his mandatory military service in South Korea.

What happened: On Tuesday, Brazilian media outlet RIC Mais reported about a robbery in Paraná, Brazil, that involved a 21-year-old BTS fan named Natali Vitoria Ramos Reis.

Earlier this month, Reis was reportedly waiting at a bus stop when a man approached her and took her phone. However, while inspecting the phone’s case, he noticed that it had a photo of Jin wearing his military uniform and returned the phone to Reis before fleeing.

"He must have thought, 'Her boyfriend is in the military, I'm not going to steal it,’" the fan told RIC Mais.
