BTS’ Jin is putting his idol training to good use during his military service, as shown by a recent talent show win.

A talent show was held within the K-pop star’s military unit ahead of Lunar New Year. Jin assisted his group by teaching them dance moves, which reportedly helped them reach first place.

The winning members received an extra vacation day as their prize, according to reports.

Jin, 30, recently completed his five-week basic military training and attended his boot camp completion ceremony. On Jan. 18, he uploaded selfies on Weverse while wearing his uniform and captioned his post with an update.

BTS’ oldest member began his mandatory military service on Dec. 13, 2022, where he started at the 5th Division Recruit Training Battalion in South Korea's Yeoncheon County and became a training center assistant.

BTS’ parent agency HYBE has previously said that all of the group’s members will fulfill their military obligations when the time comes. They are expected to reconvene as a group "around 2025."
