BTS often sends fans into a frenzy, but this time it wasn't because of their music. Jungkook had fans freaking out after leaked CCTV footage showed him hanging out with a female tattoo artist, sparking rumors that the two were dating. In the video, Jungkook allegedly appears to be hugging a woman. Now BTS's management company, Big Hit Entertainment, and the tattoo artist herself, are both speaking out. Jungkook has yet to comment on the rumors, but now that his agency has, he most likely won't. In their statement, Big Hit even threatened to take legal action regarding the rumors.

Bit Hit denied the rumors that Jungkook is dating, saying, "The now circulating dating rumors regarding our artist Jungkook is absolutely not true."

They also explained that Jungkook was simply hanging out with an "acquaintance."

"During his visit to Geojedo, he realized his circle of tattooist acquaintances was also visiting there so he hung out with them. We are sorry that his private life during his extended break had to be distorted like this," the statement said.

"We are currently investigating whether or not the picture was taken illegally, and will take strict legal action accordingly. In addition, spreading of false information to defame our artist will also face strict legal consequences.”

The tattoo artist also took to Instagram to deny the Jungkook rumors herself. In her post, translated by AllKPop, the woman said, "I’m absolutely not in a relationship with Jungkook."

She also said that she felt moved to speak out following all the online hate. “I’m posting this because of what’s spreading online and the unfortunate situation of people causing misunderstandings by impersonating me. I didn’t say anything because it seemed obvious that people wouldn’t believe me or they would interpret what I say the way they want or I would get even harsher responses.”

The tattoo artist also responded to rumors that Jungkook has her initials tattooed in what appears to be some new ink on his hand. "I would like to once again state that it's absolutely not true that I'm dating Jungkook or that I tattooed my initials on him. We're simply close friends, and I am very apologetic as it seems fans were extremely hurt in addition to myself and people around me. I will not say anything further. I'd just like to make it clear that I wasn't ignoring or disregarding everything."

K-pop groups aren't traditionally allowed to date by their management companies and if they do, they aren't allowed to make those details public. The reasoning is that part of a K-pop stars allure is that they're single.

There's no word on whether this is also a policy Big Hit has in place for BTS. Still, some fans took to Twitter to defend Jungkook's choice to date if he wants to.

BTS just ended their "extended break" and will continue on with their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour, so look forward to seeing Jungkook up on stage.
