BTS Member RM Said It’s a “Miracle” They Haven’t Broken Up Yet
BTS member RM was in a sentimental mood earlier this week during a V Live session, where he opened up about how much of a miracle it is that the group hasn't broken up yet considering how far they've come. According to Soompi, he also discussed how cool it is to cheer on his BTS bandmates when they work as a team and even teased the group's new album that they're currently working on.
During a February 20 V Live broadcast in his own personal studio space, RM got candid about just how wild it is that BTS is still together after all this time. It's not that he wants the band to break up (heck no, fam!) but he's truly in awe. "The fact that we’ve come this far is like a miracle," he remarked, continuing, "It’s really a miracle. Things like renewing our contracts — we’re so different and we really could have turned and said goodbye, but it’s a miracle that we’ve come this far. I’m so grateful."
It makes sense that RM is struck by the fact that the group is still together, because they really have had such a meteoric rise to international fame in the last couple of years. Several albums, a world tour, and major appearances at awards shows like the 2019 Grammys and at the United Nations is a lot for a group, but staying connected to one another makes it all the more impressive.
But RM knows that BTS is a special group, as indicated by his sweet comments about just how talented the other members of BTS are. He commented on V Live that "all seven of us are different, you know. We’re really incredibly different. I think I maybe said this in the past, but this is how I describe it: it’s like we’re all sailing in the same boat but looking at different places. We have different dispositions, we’re good and bad at different things, and the things we want to do are different too. But because we’re in this team, we see better sides of each other and we’re achieving things together under the name of BTS that we couldn’t do otherwise. I think the others know that even better than I do."
RM went on to give a little teaser about the new album BTS is working on, too, but didn't give away too much information, saying, "This album is one that I personally like a lot. I don’t mean that I like its atmosphere or something like that — it’s because it’s really organic. The songs are really..." he trailed off before joking, "Well, it’s no fun if I tell you everything!"
