Bubbakoo’s Burritos to open in Berkeley Heights on May 18

BERKELEY HEIGHTS - Bubbakoo’s Burritos will open its eighth location in Central Jersey on May 18 at 410 Springfield Ave.

Since its flagship restaurant opened 13 years ago in Point Pleasant, Bubbakoo’s has expanded to 76 locations across 10 states with 100 more locations in the pipeline. The other Central Jersey locations are Clark, Somerville, Clinton, New Brunswick, Monroe and Spotswood.

The Berkeley Heights location will be run by Jalpesh Chokshi, who also owns the Clark restaurant. He plans to open another location this fall in Livingston.

Local news: Here are the latest home sales in the Central Jersey real estate market“What initially drew us to Bubbakoo’s is their fresh and endless possibilities of food combination and their focus on giving back to the community," Chokshi said. "I can’t wait to get to know the Berkeley Heights and surrounding communities so we can introduce them to the Bubbakoo’s way.”

The Mexican-fusion chain was founded in 2008 by industry veterans Paul Altero and Bill Hart who had a shared vision for complete customization of entrees with fresh ingredients and a strong concentration on customer service. Bubbakoo’s has a menu where customers can pick and choose what they want and create something different every time they visit.

“Jalpesh is a fantastic franchise partner for us and his passion for the Bubbakoo’s Burritos brand is what drives his success for his Clark NJ location. I’m very confident that he will have the same success in Berkeley Heights,” Hart said.
