Buccaneers-Saints has 9 former Cardinals on their rosters

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints will wrap up the divisional round of the playoffs with their game. Between the two teams, there are nine former Arizona Cardinals players on their teams. See who they are below.


Buccaneers S/LB Deone Bucannon

Bucannon did not play a game in 2020 but is on the Tampa Bay roster. He was the Cardinals’ first-round pick in 2014 and he played five seasons for the team, converting from safety to linebacker.

QB Blaine Gabbert

Gabbert is Tampa’s backup quarterback to Tom Brady and has been with the Bucs for two seasons, although he was on injured reserve in 2019. He played one season for the Cardinals in 2017 as their third-string quarterback. He ended up starting five games.

OL Ted Larsen

Larsen is on the Tampa Bay roster but has not played this season. Larsen was a starting guard for the Cardinals in 2014 and 2015. He actually began his career in Tampa Bay. He was added to the practice squad this year and elevated to the roster for the playoff game.

OL Earl Watford

Watford is back in the league. He did not play in 2020 but was signed by the Bucs after guard Alex Cappa landed on injured reserve. He was drafted by the Cardinals and played four seasons for them under Bruce Arians, who is now the Bucs' head coach.

LB Kevin Minter

Minter is on the COVID list currently so he will not play. Minter was drafted by the Cardinals in the second round in 2013. He played four seasons for the Cardinals. He is in his third season with the Bucs. He is a captain on special teams.

RB T.J. Logan

Logan is on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury before the season. He is in his second year with the Buccaneers. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round in 2017, spent that year on IR and played in 2018.

OL A.Q. Shipley

Shipley is on injured reserve with a career-ending neck injury. He played five seasons with the Cardinals and joined the Bucs this year.

Saints CB Ken Crawley

Crawley signed with the Cardinals in the offseason after Robert Alford got hurt. He was cut before the season and later signed with New Orleans, where he was a starter in 2019. He played in six games for the Saints in 2020 and had one tackle and one interception.

Saints S D.J. Swearinger

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

He was claimed by the Cardinals off waiver in late 2017 and began the 2018 season as a starter but then was cut after his play was poor. He played in 11 games this season for the Saints.
