Buckeye Central's Ryley Kantzer named Northern 10 Player of the Year

The regular season has wrapped up and All-Northern 10 honors have been doled out in girls basketball. For the third consecutive season, Player of the Year honors belong to someone from Buckeye Central. And Coach of the Year is staying in Dutchtown, too.

Senior Ryley Kantzer became the third different Buckette in as many seasons to earn top honors in the league after helping the program three-peat as N10 champions. She is averaging 9.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 42.7% from the floor and 82% from the free-throw line.

Joining her on the first team is teammate and classmate Kate Siesel, along with Wynford senior Grace Stucky.

Seniors Kennedy Deppen and Sydney Wurm of Buckeye Central were named to the second team, as was Colonel Crawford senior Mallory Plesac and Wynford senior Katie Wagner.

Honorable mentions were Buckeye Central senior Paige Collene, Bucyrus junior Brook Dennison, Colonel Crawford junior Lynae McKibben and Wynford freshman Maradath Engler.
