Buckeye Country Superfest is ready for its return to Ohio Stadium.

The stadium is likely to be well-packed when Superfest returns on Saturday afternoon and evening.

“People are excited to come back to live events and we're excited to have them back,” said David Redelberger, director of interactive marketing for the Schottenstein Center and Nationwide Arena. “It's always fun to break out of the arenas and do a big show over there.”

The stadium began hosting Buckeye Country Superfest in 2015, with different lineups every year, and continued until 2019, after which it was interrupted by COVID.

This year, it is the only concert scheduled at the stadium, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, though more concerts are likely in the future.

“We're always looking for artists that we can bring into the stadium for big events,” Redelberger said. “It's tough because there aren't a lot of acts that can fill a place this big.”

Starting in the '80s and through the early 2000s, the stadium hosted acts including Pink Floyd, Genesis and the Rolling Stones. After a decade-long break, the stadium returned to concerts in 2015, when the Rolling Stones visited again and the first Country Superfest was held.

In the years following, the stadium hosted Taylor Swift, One Direction and Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Zach Bryan is scheduled to appear at 5:55 p.m. The 26-year-old served in the Navy for eight years until his discharge last year. Cody Jinks share his brand of music

At 7:15 p.m., outlaw-alternative country road warrior Cody Jinks will take the stage. Jinks is known for walking the line between country and heavy metal: In 2021, he released both a solo country album, “Mercy,” and a heavy metal album, “None the Wiser,” with his band, Caned by Nod. The same year, he was named Independent Artist of the Year in MusicRow's Country Breakout Awards.
