Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud has some new wheels following his latest name, image and likeness deal.

Stroud will be driving a pre-owned Bentley Bentayga as part of a partnership with Sarchione Auto Gallery, a dealership in Canton.

In exchange for the luxury SUV, which is valued at $150,000, he will promote the auto dealership on social media and make public appearances at its gallery, including one scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

Better than ever? What C.J. Stroud is doing to prepare for his second season as Ohio State's starting quarterback

“When you talk to people, whether it’s in the community or at the game, our brand awareness is what we're building,” said Ryan Burton, the general manager of Sarchione Auto Gallery, “so when you have the best-of-the-best promoting your brand, it only does good things.”

The northeast Ohio dealership has previously partnered with players from the Cleveland Browns, but its deal with Stroud marked the first one it had struck with the Buckeyes since endorsement deals with college players became permissible under NCAA rules last summer.

Burton said he expected a couple of other Ohio State players to follow Stroud later this year.

Athletes First, the agency that represents Stroud in negotiating NIL opportunities, first reached out to Sarchione Auto Gallery to express interest in a potential partnership.

Stroud had been contacted by other dealerships, but he was interested in this one after seeing former Ohio State teammate and wide receiver Chris Olave driving a BMW X7 in the leadup to the NFL draft as part of a partnership.

“If somebody is that adamant about it, and they’re going to be a Heisman frontrunner, top-10 pick in the draft, we're interested,” Burton said. “That's how it all came together.”

After about 45 days, Stroud will be able to lease a new vehicle from the dealership.

Since he debuted as the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback last season and developed into a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, Stroud has seen his portfolio grow this offseason.

He and receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba became brand ambassadors for Express, a fashion apparel retailer, in April.

Ohio State announced last week that athletes across its 36 varsity sports had reached 900 deals totaling nearly $3.5 million over the last 11 months, leading the nation in both categories.
