Buckhead Restaurant Among 100 Most Romantic In America: Study

ATLANTA, GA — Looking for a restaurant to take your sweetheart for Valentine's Day? Look no further — a Buckhead restaurant has been named one of the most romantic restaurants in the country.

OpenTable, a restaurant reservation company, analyzed more than 12.4 million diner reviews to come up with a list of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the country, and Bones in Buckhead is among them.

OpenTable said the restaurant has won the "highest marks for food and service" above all U.S. steakhouses from Zagat. With a variety of cuts of premium steak, from filet mignon to dry-aged porterhouse, and plenty of alternative options — loin lamb chops or veal rib chop — and add-ons like lobster, foie gras, shrimp or crab, Bones has something for everyone.

"By providing the finest quality food with an acclaimed wine cellar, there is no wonder why Bones has been recognized for the last 40 years as the benchmark of style in Atlanta," OpenTable's description reads.

Located on Piedmont Road near the heart of Buckhead, the restaurant has a 4.8-star rating on OpenTable and most entrees start in price from $50, according to the company.

Bones is among seven Georgia restaurants to make the cut: Alligator Soul and Elizabeth on 37th, both in Savannah; Marcel in West Midtown; Canoe in Vining; Poor Calvin's in Midtown; and Frankie's the Steakhouse in Duluth were the others.

OpenTable compiled its list ahead of Valentine's Day, when restaurants will likely see a resurgence of couples dining out after two years of lower numbers because of the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said.

"Our data suggests that Valentine's Day dining is rebounding this year, with reservations up 30% nationwide compared to last year," said Susan Lee, chief growth officer at OpenTable. "We're excited to see this momentum leading up to what has traditionally been one of the biggest dining days of the year for restaurants."
