'Buckle up, you'll need a helmet' for the second season of 'Crikey! It’s the Irwins'

The family of late Australian conservationist and "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin say their second season of television show "Crikey! It's the Irwins" is so intense that "you'll need a nap after."

"Yeah, you'll need a nap after. It'll just be exhausting. You'll need a helmet," joked Irwin's wife Terri.

"Watch out. Just buckle up and get ready," said Irwin's daughter Bindi.

"Crikey! It's the Irwins" have highlighted Irwin's wife Terri and their two children, Bindi and Robert, on their adventures looking after animals at their Australia Zoo in Queensland since October of last year.

The show is dedicated to their wildlife conservation work with 15-year-old Robert following in his father's "Crocodile Hunter" footsteps.

"I always, no matter what, I always dibs all of the crocodile stories," he said. "If there's a story with a croc in it, I take it. It's like no. This is mine. Sorry guys, I have to take this. I love crocs so much. They're my favorite animal by far. And yeah, there's just, there's something about them. You know they've been here for millions of years. They're really the perfect evolutionary design. Very intelligent. They're also quite caring, which is something people don't realize."

Irwin, who was watched by audiences around the world in his popular television programs, died in 2006 after a stingray's serrated barb pierced his heart while filming off Australia's northern Great Barrier Reef.

"We were so lucky, for me and Robert, he was the best dad on the planet," said Bindi. "He was our hero and still is. So for us, we really want to carry on in his footsteps and make sure that everything he worked so hard for continues on into the future. Dad always said, 'I don't care if people remember me, I care if people remember my message,' and we want to make sure that his message lives on."

Bindi recently got engaged on her 21st birthday in July to her American boyfriend of nearly six years, Chandler Powell, and said she found the perfect wedding dress while in New York.

"My beautiful mom came with me and we found the perfect dress," she said. "I was so worried. How do you know when it's the right dress? And as soon as I put it on, we both started crying and it was such an emotional and special moment in our lives and what's wonderful about the dress is it mimics my beautiful mom's dress. So when she got married to dad, she wore a similar dress with the gorgeous lace sleeves and I'm really excited to pay tribute to her dress as well."
