Bucks County, Delaware and South Jersey share town names, but what about home prices?

In real estate, it’s all about location.

At least that’s what a British real estate king has been trying to convince us for the past 80 years.

We compared some of the most expensive listings on Zillow for homes in towns with the same name but in different states.

So, if you’re looking to settle down in Southampton, you’ll have to decide if that means Burlington County, New Jersey or Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Or if you want a summer shore house in Ocean View, you need to choose between Delaware and New Jersey.

Leaving, on a jet plane: It's going to cost you more to fly, especially out of Philly. Here's why

Here’s what we found:

In Millville, New Jersey, you can buy a six-bed, seven-bath home for $1.1 million. The 10,818-square-foot home has been on the market for nearly a year.

Across the river, this high-end home in Millville, Delaware, will set you back $659,900 — if you can convince the owners to take the listing price. This 3,029-square-foot, four-bed, three-bath home was just reduced by $20,000.

If you’re looking for luxury in the Philly Burbs, you can snag a four-bed, five-bath, 4,818-square-foot home in Southampton, Bucks County, for just over $1.48 million.

But, over in Southampton, New Jersey, you’ll need to nearly double your mortgage. This five-bed, four-bath home offers 6,111 square feet, but will set you back $2.6 million. It has been on the market for nearly four years, so maybe there’s a bargain to be had.

If you want to live in Ocean View, both the Garden State and the First State, you’ll only need about $1.5 million to snag a high-end home.

Delaware’s Ocean View offers this four-bed, five-bath, 3,400-square-foot near-beach living for $1.4 million.

While New Jersey’s Ocean View — also not quite at the beach — has a six-bed, five-bath home available for $1.5 million. There’s no square footage listed, but the lot does sit on more than 20 acres.
