These Bucks County restaurants offer free food for vets, active military on Veterans Day

Just around the corner is Veterans Day, an opportunity to honor and celebrate those who served America.

The holiday is observed annually on Nov. 11, which falls on a Saturday this year, and several restaurants throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties are dishing out free offers to veterans and active-duty military, as a show of gratitude for their willingness to serve and the sacrifices they have made.

Here’s a look at where veterans can find free food:

Free food for vets on Veterans Day 2023:

These offers are available on Nov. 11 only unless otherwise noted. Be prepared to show proof of service such as a military or VA card or discharge papers.

Applebee's: Free lunch or dinner from a select menu featuring eight popular entrees. Dine-in only.

Bob Evans: One free meal off a special menu of seven homestyle favorites. Dine-in only.

Bonefish Grill: Complimentary order of Bang Bang Shrimp with a soft drink.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. Dine-in only with the exception of Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations, where walk-in orders at the counter will be accepted.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill: Complimentary dine-in appetizer or dessert paired with a soft drink.

Chili’s: Choose a free entrée off a limited menu. Dine-in only.

Dunkin’: Free donut of your choice.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill: Free lunch or dinner entrée. If you dine with family or friends on this special day, the complimentary entrée will be whichever entrée is of lesser value. For dine-only. Tax and gratuity not included.

Golden Corral: Free “thank you” meal for Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 13. Dine-in only.

Hooters: Free dinner entree from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu with purchase of a beverage. Dine-in only.

IHOP: Free short stack of Red White and Blue pancakes, topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and a whipped topping.

Olive Garden: Free entree from their special Veterans Day menu, which includes five of the Olive Garden’s most popular dishes: Never-ending soup, salad and breadsticks; cheese ravioli; spaghetti and meatballs; fettuccine alfredo; and chicken parmigiana. Dine-in only.

Perkins: Free Magnificent Seven meal, featuring two eggs, three buttermilk pancakes, and a choice of two bacon strips or sausage links. Dine-in only.

Red Lobster: Free printed meal vouchers for Veterans Shrimp & Chips. Must be picked up Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vouchers can be redeemed Nov. 13 through Dec. 10 for dine-in only.

Red Robin: Complimentary Red's Big Tavern Burger with an endless side of steak fries. Dine-in only.

Starbucks: Free 12-oz. hot or cold brewed coffee. Offer includes military spouses.

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Choose from one of 10 select meals, which include two sides, plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea, iced tea or coffee.

White Castle: Free individual combo meal or a breakfast combo meal.
