Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has been fined $50,000 by the NFL for striking one of his own players during Sunday’s wild-card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Arians was seen on the game broadcast hitting safety Andrew Adams in the helmet after the Bucs had recovered a fumble on a punt return by the Eagles.

After the game, Arians explained to the media that he saw Adams pulling an Eagles player off the pile, and was trying to prevent him from getting called for a penalty for doing so.
