Buffalo to light up in celebration of 192nd birthday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo City Hall and other buildings downtown are known to light up in support of, or in celebration of, various events and causes. This weekend, the city is celebrating itself.

As part of the Buffalo Landmark Illumination Team (BuffaloLIT) program, a number of structures will be illuminated with blue and white light on Friday and Saturday in honor of Buffalo’s birthday.

The city is inching closer to a bicentennial, turning 192 years old on Saturday, April 20.
