Buffalo Pride Parade and Festival set for June 2

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Pride Parade and Festival will be held on June 2 this year, it was announced Thursday.

The Pride Parade will begin at 11 a.m. on the corner of Elmwood and Forest Avenues and will be followed immediately by the Pride Festival. The festival, which will start at 1 p.m. at Canalside, includes family activities, food and beverages, retail vendors, live performances, and community organizations.

Formerly Buffalo Pride Week, the organization has changed its name to Buffalo Pride to recognize the celebration of pride throughout June and beyond. The theme this year is “Now’s the Time,” as attendees are encouraged to act now, celebrate now, and come together now.

Organizations wishing to participate in the parade have until Friday, May 10 to register. Vendor registration opens on Tuesday, April 2 and closes on Friday, May 24.
