A new traditional American spot, offering chicken wings and barbecue, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called The Buffalo Spot, the new arrival is at 4511 Campus Drive in University Town Center.

In addition to wings, The Buffalo Spot also serves up buffalo fries topped with chicken, potatoes, cheese and a choice of sauce like honey barbecue or chipotle. Also look for salads, wraps and shakes.

This is the latest outpost for the fast-growing, Long Beach-based chain, which has nearly 20 other locales in Southern California, along with five in Arizona and two in Texas.

The new Buffalo Spot has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of 28 reviews on Yelp.

Vinson G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 18, wrote, "This is a great addition to the food spots near UCI campus. The fries are delicious — you get breaded chicken bites that are tossed with a sauce of your choice put on top of fries and sprinkled with cheese."

Yelper Andrew D. added, "Great food. The buffalo fries are to die for. You get a lot for your money. The restaurant is nice, the service is friendly and the ordering process is easy."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. The Buffalo Spot is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.
