Buildings Damaged by Deadly Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake in Haiti

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake shook Haiti on Saturday morning, August 14, causing damage to buildings and infrastructure.

Footage streamed via Facebook Live by One Show Pam shows damaged buildings in Les Cayes, Haiti.

The United States Geological Survey estimated “high casualties and extensive damage” due to the quake.

Preliminary magnitude reports suggested the earthquake was stronger than the 7.0 magnitude quake that caused widespread devastation on the island in 2010.
