Bull Airlifted From Beach in Northern Spain

A rescue helicopter in northern Spain had a heavier load than usual on April 28, when it was tasked with lifting a 1,000-kilo bull off a beach in Ferrero.

According to 20 Minutos, the helicopter failed in its first attempt to lift the beast, and returned to complete the mission with less fuel and a stronger harness.

Video from the Bomberos de Asturias shows the rescue, which they said was carried out by a helicopter with the Principality of Asturias Emergency Team.

Firefighters later posted a photo of the bull, named Bolero, safely returned to a meadow. Credit: Bomberos de Asturias via Storyful
