Bundles of joy: Meet the first babies born in Middle Tennessee hospitals on New Year's Day 2024

Get ready for a big dose of cute.

Middle Tennessee hospitals in Coffee, Davidson, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson Counties are sharing photos, and a few details, about the first babies of 2024.

Dylan Brook was the first baby born at Williamson Medical Center, weighing 8 pounds., 11 ounces and measuring 20.25 inches, according to a post on Facebook.

"Congratulations to the Brook family on your second born, we're excited to be a part of the start of your family's new chapter," Williamson Health officials said on Facebook.

Other hospitals decided to stick to first names in a bid for privacy.

Weighing in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches, Walker was the first baby to be born on New Year's Day at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.

"We are overjoyed for the opportunity to care for Walker and his family. We wish them all the health and happiness in the new year," the Facebook post said.

He was born at 3:10 p.m. on Jan., 1, 2024, to parents Cayleb and Abby, TriStar Horizon officials said in a Facebook post.

In Montgomery County, Noah was the first baby to be delivered at Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville's Birth Center on Jan. 1, 2024, according to a press release.

Noah was born at 11:51 a.m. to parents Kelly and Joe, who were presented with a custom gift bag that included a blanket, stuffed animal, burp cloths and more from the Wishing Well Gift Shop.

"Noah joins a family with two sisters who will love having a baby brother! Join us in celebrating this beautiful baby and wishing the family all the best in 2024," Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville officials said in a Facebook post.

Adalyn and Brady were the first babies born at Hendersonville and Gallatin hospitals in 2024.

Adalyn weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was delivered by Dr. John Trussell of Gallatin Women’s Center at Sumner Regional Medical Center at 8:51 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024, a press release said.

“We have an extraordinary team of clinical and support staff who are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for mothers and their babies on New Year’s Day and year-round,” Trussell said in the release.

“One of our greatest privileges is helping our community’s families welcome their newest additions in a healthy, positive and memorable way.”

Brady, the first baby born at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, was delivered a few hours later at 11:39 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024, a press release said.

TriStar Hendersonville staff were overjoyed to care for Brady and his mom while ushering in the new year and the changes it may bring, the release said.

“Our new Birth Center expansion will open in 2024, and we look forward to serving more families in the greater Nashville area in this new year,” TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center Director of Marketing and Public Relations Tory Daughrity said in the release.

$56 million in initiatives were completed or announced for the medical center in 2022, including the expansion of the Birth Center.

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center welcomed Hadley at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2024. Hadley weighed 7 pounds and measured 19.9 inches, TriStar NorthCrest officials said in a Facebook post.

"Birthdays start at TriStar NorthCrest, and we are thankful to be a part of these exciting moments," the Facebook post said.

Lincoln and Mariah, the first babies born at Ascension Saint Thomas hospitals on Jan. 1, 2024, were presented custom gift baskets with onesies, pacifiers, burp cloths and more by the Tennessee Titans on their special day.

Born at 9:36 a.m., Mariah weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 18 3/4 inches at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the post said.

Just a few hours earlier, Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville welcomed Lincoln, who was born at 3:16 a.m., weighing 3 pounds, 14 ounces and measuring 17 inches, according to a Facebook post.

"Join Ascension Saint Thomas and the Tennessee Titans in wishing these precious bundles and their families a happy and healthy new year," Ascension Saint Thomas officials said in the post on Facebook.

Down the road, Nashville-based TriStar Centennial Medical Center rang in the New Year with Kassidy, who was born at 4:21 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024, according to a Facebook post.

"We are overjoyed to care for this adorable little miracle and her family as we look forward to all 2024 will bring," TriStar Centennial officials said in the post on Facebook.

Vanderbilt Health hospitals in Lebanon, Nashville and Tullahoma, Tenn. also had cause to celebrate.

Nashville's Vanderbilt University Medical Center celebrated the arrival of Paisyn Bradley, born at 12:50 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2024, to parents Haylie McIntyre and Jarrod Bradley, according to a Facebook post.

In neighboring Wilson County, parents Mariah Spivey and James David Robbins welcomed Nyjah Zae Aris Robbins at 5:54 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, the post said.

"Congratulations mom and dad, James David Robbins and Mariah Spivey, and big sister, Marley Cook, on your 7 pound, 1 ounce bundle of joy. Welcome to the world, Nyjah," Vanderbilt officials said on Facebook.

Further South in Tullahoma, Tenn., hospital officials announced the birth of Macie Jae Williams, the first baby to be born on Jan. 1, 2024, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital.

Macie was born at 9:11 a.m. to parents Kirsten Woods and James Williams and older brothers August and Sagen James, the post said. Hospital officials presented Macie with a pink basket of goodies and gifts for her brothers, including Paw Patrol blankets and cups.

"Congratulations Kirsten and James, and thank you for trusting us with the care of beautiful Macie Jae," Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton officials said on Facebook.
