Bunnies, egg hunts, sunrise services, brunch: Seven ways to celebrate Easter on Cape Cod

Editor's note: Because of a reporting error, the day for the Chatham Bars Inn egg hunt was wrong. It is 11 a.m. Easter Sunday.

The Easter Bunny is hopping overtime with appearances and photo opportunities slated for nearly a dozen egg hunts — including one for dogs — from one end of the Cape to the other this weekend.

In addition to catching glimpses of the Bunny and completing the associated egg hunts, Cape residents can take advantage of several other Easter-themed activities this weekend. From brass ensemble concerts and a sunrise service to creating art and a chance at May 20 Taylor Swift concert tickets, here are a few family-friendly events to check out.

Plus, three places to find a lavish spread, at brunches hosted by Chatham Bars Inn, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club and Pelham House Resort.

Here's where can you find the Easter Bunny on Cape Cod this weekend.

The Easter Bunny will be at Cape Cod Mall for photos from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 7-8. The mall is located at 769 Iyannough Road, Hyannis, 508-771-0200. Go to https://whereisbunny.com/mall/1350 to reserve a 15-minute slot and shorten your wait for photos.

The tall fellow with the long ears will be also available for photos from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Mashpee Commons. The bunny will be located in Central Square, moving indoors to LL Bean, 7 Market St., in case of bad weather. After the photo, enjoy a chocolate treat from Ghelfi’s Candies.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mashpee Commons stores with a sign in the window will participate in an egg hunt, providing a sweet treat for children who visit.

The Easter Bunny will hop just down the road a bit to Naukabout Brewery and Taproom, 13 Lake Ave., Mashpee, for a family-friendly visit from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  A Piece of Sandwich, two sisters who run a business crafting, painting and creating with reclaimed wood, will have a pop-up.

Students will learn to make the basic shapes needed to create a floral greeting card as demonstrated in class. Tuition of $51 ($47 for members) covers all materials used in class.
